Two steps forward or two steps back

My question for the last night of the convention is:

What do we do now?  If we thought that the ads from McCain were bad, are we really going to wait for them to get their brainstorming going during and after their convention?  Are we going to wait for a repeat of 2004?  I guess my real question is this: Is it time for the democrats to hit hard or do you think that negative ads would only hurt?

The campaign is just starting.  Obama has presented himself, is rested up for the long slog and is ready to take on the "ill-tempered" old man.

It needs to be done in layers, contrasting Obama's positives with McBush's negatives. But since Obama is the frontrunner with a united party he doesn't have to run a nonstop smear campaign as McRisky must.

If there's one thing the last eight years and the last few Presidential elections have taught us, it's this:

We should take out approach from one of my favorite AC/DC songs.

If you want blood, you got it!

Sometimes you beat the bully by knocking him on his ass.  They've abused fear too long.  It's time for Republican posteriors to meet the pavement.

No way. No how. No McCain.

Well,...... (2.00 / 1)

Obama just punched him back in the nose. Hit him on his supposed strengths.

I feel more confident tonight. I seriously was getting worried.

Me too... (none / 0)

Too early to sigh with relief, yet, but I feel better.  Wait for the next round of polls.

Wait for McCain's veep announcement, (2.00 / 1)

probably tomorrow.  If it's Mittster, it's going to be a blast.  If it's not Mittster, we get to say, "Hey, why did you pass over that Mormon guy?  Did he speak to much truth?"

Re: Two steps forward or two steps back (none / 0)

But you see, Obama had to wait to attack. If he started attacking McLame before the convention, the perception, of those who don't know him, would have been that he is negative. So he waited and presented himself the way he wanted to be thought of. Remember you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Imagine the impression he just made on people who knew next to nothing about him?

Re: Two steps forward or two steps back (none / 0)

very true.  I feel very strongly that the democrats were not given this opportunity, that we all fought hard for it and in my opinion it is no holds barred.  I hope to see some angry ads.  I want Obama to defend himself and every other person that has been called liberal just for believing in basic human right for EVERYONE.
